Notice of Hearing

The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) will conduct a virtual public hearing at 2:00 p.m. June 2, 2021 to receive public comments on the draft Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan for federal fiscal years 2022-2024. The three-year plan describes how DCF will administer Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) funds to provide subsidized child care services to families and to improve and support the quality of child care in Kansas.

DCF is also requesting public comment on the Child Care Market Analysis. As a part of the CCDF State Plan, this report is completed every three years, and provides important information to the state on rates and other costs of providing child care services.

Anyone desiring to participate via Microsoft Teams video conference or teleconference must pre-register. To register and review the CCDF State Plan visit the DCF website at http://www.dcf.ks.gov/services/ees/Pages/Child_Care/Child-care-and-early-education.aspx.

Prior to the hearing, written comments may be submitted by mail to DCF, Attn: Judy Golden, 555 S. Kansas Ave., Topeka, KS 66603. Comments by email may be sent to ccdfstateplan@dcf.ks.gov. Please identify in the subject line “CCDF State Plan” or “Market Rate Analysis.” Comments will be accepted through June 8, 2021.
