(c) For this game, a play symbol shall appear in 47 play spots within the play area or areas.

(d) The ticket numbers in each book of tickets in this game shall start with 000 and end with 059.

(e) The price of instant tickets sold by a retailer for this game shall be $5.00 each.

(f) “Kansas Grande Loteria” is a three-part symbol match game. The first two parts consist of separate grids with 16 “LOTERIA” play symbols each covered with translucent material, and the third part consists of a “CALLER’S CARD” with 14 play symbols and a “BONUS CARD” with one play symbol. The player will remove the scratch-off material to reveal 14 “CALLER’S CARD” symbols and one “BONUS CARD” symbol. For each “CALLER’S CARD” symbol and “BONUS CARD” symbol, the player will find the corresponding grid symbol and scratch only that square. If the player uncovers four contiguous play symbols in a straight horizontal line in a grid, four contiguous play symbols in a straight vertical line in a grid, four contiguous play symbols in a diagonal line from bottom left to top right in a grid, or four contiguous play symbols in a diagonal line from top left to bottom right in a grid, the player wins the prize amount shown for that line in that grid. If the player completes a horizontal or vertical line using the “BONUS CARD,” the player doubles the prize shown for that line.

(g) Each ticket in this game may win up to two times.

(h) Approximately 720,000 tickets shall be ordered initially for this instant game. Additional ticket orders shall have the same prize structure, the same number of prizes per prize pool of 720,000 tickets, and the same odds as were contained in the initial ticket order.

(d) The price of instant tickets sold by a retailer for this game shall be $5.00 each.

(e) “Super Red Hot Crossword” will feature four separate play areas: “YOUR LETTERS,” two “CROSSWORD” puzzles, and a “BONUS” area. The top puzzle grid will be imaged in black. The bottom puzzle grid will be imaged in red.

For the “CROSSWORD” puzzles, the player will scratch the “YOUR LETTERS” play area to reveal 20 “YOUR LETTERS.” Each of the “YOUR LETTERS” may be used in both “CROSSWORD” puzzles. A player matches the corresponding letters in both “CROSSWORD” puzzles by removing the translucent scratch-off material covering the matching letter. If a player uncovers a total of four or more completed words across both puzzles, the player wins the corresponding prize in the prize legend. Except as provided in these rules, all other prizes are paid on a single payment basis. (d) Tickets shall not be sold to any person under the age of 18 years. Each retailer may require a person purchasing tickets to produce proof of age.

A terminal produced paper receipt has no pecuniary nor prize value and shall not constitute evidence of a ticket purchase or of numbers selected.

(h) A ticket shall not be voided or cancelled by returning the ticket to the selling retailer, including tickets that are printed in error. No ticket which can be used to claim a prize shall be returned to the Kansas lottery for credit. Tickets accepted by retailers as returned tickets and which cannot be re-sold shall be deemed owned by the bearer thereof.

The placing of plays is done at the player’s own risk and the Kansas lottery or a retailer entering a play shall be deemed to be acting on behalf of the player in entering the play or plays. (Authorized by K.S.A. 2024 Supp. 74-8710; implementing K.S.A. 2024 Supp. 74-8710 and K.S.A. 74-8718; effective, T-111-1-29-10, Jan. 20, 2010; amended, T-111-10-11-13, Aug. 14, 2013; amended, T-111-12-4-24, Nov. 13, 2024.)

(b) The prize money allocated to the grand prize category shall be divided equally by the number of MM plays winning the grand prize.

(c) The single payment prizes (for payment of single payment prizes of $1,000,000 or less) shall be carried forward to subsequent draws if all or a portion of it is not needed to pay the set prizes awarded in the current draw.

(d) Except as otherwise provided in these rules, if the total of the MM set prizes (as multiplied by the respective multiplier or Megaplier multiplier, if applicable) awarded in a drawing exceeds the percentage of the prize pool allocated to the MM set prizes, then the amount needed to fund the MM set prizes, including Megaplier prizes, awarded shall be drawn from the following sources in the following order:

(1) the amount available from the single set prizes and the megaplier prize pool, if any;

(2) an amount from the prize reserve account, if available, not to exceed $40,000,000 per drawing;

(3) If, after these sources are depleted, there are not sufficient funds to pay the set prizes awarded, including Megaplier prizes, then the highest set prize shall become a pari-mutuel prize. If the amount of the highest set prize, including megaplier prizes, when paid on a pari-mutuel basis, drops to or below the next highest set prize and there are still not sufficient funds to pay the remaining set prizes awarded, then the next highest set prize shall become a pari-mutuel prize. This procedure shall continue down through all set prize levels, if necessary, until all set prize levels become pari-mutuel prize levels. In that instance, the money available from the funding sources shall be divided among the winning MM plays in proportion to their respective prize percentages. Mega Millions and megaplier prizes will be reduced by the same percentage; and

(4) By agreement with the Mega Millions lotteries, the Mega Millions lotteries shall independently calculate their set pari-mutuel prize amounts. The party lotteries and the Mega Millions lotteries shall then agree to set the pari-mutuel prize amount for all lotteries selling the game at the lesser of the independently-calculated prize amounts.

(e) Except as may be required by these rules, the official advertised grand prize annuity amount is subject to change based on sales forecasts and/or actual sales.

(f) Subject to the laws and rules governing each participating lottery, the number of prize categories and the allocation of the prize fund among the prize categories may be changed at the discretion of the Mega Millions lotteries, for promotional purposes. Such change shall be announced by Mega Millions lotteries.
