Notice to Contractors

Northeast Kansas Community Action Program, Inc. (NEK-CAP, Inc.) Weatherization, located in Hiawatha, Kansas, is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and low-income households through energy-saving home improvements.

We are currently seeking qualified contractors to collaborate with our team in delivering weatherization services. Areas of work include:

  • General Contracting
  • HVAC Services

Weatherization services are provided in the following Kansas counties:

  • Atchison
  • Brown
  • Doniphan
  • Jackson
  • Jefferson
  • Leavenworth
  • Nemaha
  • Shawnee

Meeting

An in-person procurement meeting will be held July 29, 2025, at 204 S, Walnut, Suite B, Ottawa, Kansas. Note: This meeting is being held in the same location and on the same day as another agency. While NEK-CAP, Inc. and the other agency operate independently, we are hosting back-to-back sessions due to our shared contractor base and similar weatherization services.

Meeting Times

  • 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.–HVAC Contractors
  • 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.–General Contractors

This meeting will provide important details about NEK-CAP, Inc.’s weatherization program, contractor expectations, and the procurement process. Attendance is strongly encouraged for those interested in collaborating with us. Please RSVP by July 21, 2025. If you cannot attend, please contact NEK-CAP, Inc. at your earliest convenience to schedule an alternative meeting.
