Notice Concerning Kansas Voluntary Cleanup and Property Redevelopment Program

In accordance with K.S.A. 65-34,173, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) reports the following summary on behalf of the Voluntary Cleanup and Property Redevelopment Program for year 2024. During this annual reporting period, KDHE received 11 applications with a cumulative total of 808 applications. The categories of applicants include agriculture (25%), industry (26%), commercial (16%), oil and gas (23%), government (3%), and private citizens (13%). A total of two sites were remediated in 2024 with a cumulative total of 160 sites remediated. A total of nine (9) sites were issued No Further Action (NFA) Determination Letters in 2024. A cumulative total of 420 sites have been issued NFA letters.
