Notice to Contractors

Project

Rehabilitation of Floodwater Retarding Dam Site 242 in Lyon County, Kansas, located 4 miles north and 0.5 miles west of Bushong, Kansas for Rock Creek Watershed Joint District No. 84.

General Scope of Work

Rehabilitation of front-slope of dam with 790 tons of riprap for wave protection; associated earthwork, seeding, and mulching.

Site Showing

(Non-mandatory) 11:00 a.m. (Central Time) Wednesday, March 5, 2025, convening along 370 Road in Lyon County, south of dam location.

Bid Opening

11:00 a.m. (Central Time) Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the meeting room behind Gieswein Insurance Agency, 623 E. Main St., Council Grove, KS 66846. Sealed bids will be received by Curtis Janssen, Engineer/CO, 280 K-68 Hwy., Lyndon, KS 66451 until 5:00 p.m. the day prior to the opening, or may be delivered at time of opening. Any bid received after the specified times will not be considered.
