Notice of Hearing
A public hearing will be held at 9:00 a.m. November 8, 2024, in the conference room of the Kansas Development Finance Authority (the “Authority”), 534 S. Kansas Ave., Suite 800, Topeka, Kansas, regarding the proposed plan to finance costs of certain athletic and media equipment (the “Equipment”) for the benefit of Kansas Athletics, Incorporated, a Kansas nonprofit corporation (the “Corporation”). Under the plan of financing, the Authority will enter into a master equipment lease and sublease agreement(s), in an aggregate principal amount not expected to exceed $16,000,000 (the “Agreement”). The Agreement is expected to be issued as a “Qualified 501(c)(3) Bond” as defined in Section 145 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Proceeds of the Agreement will be used to finance, refinance or reimburse the Corporation for costs of acquiring and installing the Equipment. The Equipment will be owned and operated by the Corporation and will be used throughout the University of Kansas athletic facilities, including at the David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium at 1101 Mississippi Street, the Anderson Family Football Complex at 1146 Fambrough Way, Allen Fieldhouse at 1651 Naismith Drive, and Rock Chalk Park at 6100 Rock Chalk Drive, all in Lawrence, Kansas.
The Agreement will be a limited obligation of the Authority, payable solely from rental payments made by the Corporation, and will not constitute a general obligation or indebtedness of the State of Kansas or any political subdivision thereof.

At the hearing, all individuals who appear will be given an opportunity to express their views for or against the above-mentioned Agreement to finance the Equipment, and all written comments previously sent to the Authority at its above-referenced offices will be considered.
