Notice of Available Grant Funding
The Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) has opened a competitive multi-year adult education grant to eligible providers. The grant will include funding through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) that supports providers in offering adult education and family literacy, education for institutionalized individuals, English literacy, and civics education.
Applications from eligible providers will be assessed based upon federal criteria outlined in WIOA, as well as alignment with the Kansas WIOA combined state plan. Eligible providers must have a history of demonstrated effectiveness in administering the type of education for which they apply.
KBOR will provide open virtual training sessions for potential applicants in August and September. Awarding criteria, eligibility, and guidelines for demonstrated effectiveness, along with links to training materials may be found on the KBOR Adult Education RFP webpage at https://kansasregents.org/workforce_development/adult-education-rfp.
Applications will be due January 31, 2025, for a five-year grant period that will run from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2030.
