Public Notice
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Division of Health Care Finance (KDHE-DHCF) is amending the Kansas Medicaid State Plan. Medicaid will cover Local Health Department (LHD) Registered Nurse (RN) Elevated Blood Lead (EBL) level education visits for children aged 0-20 if they are shown to have an EBL level equal to or greater than 5 mcg/dL. Medicaid will also cover Lead Hazard Risk Assessments for children aged 0-20 if they are shown to have an Elevated Blood Lead (EBL) level equal to or greater than 10 mcg/dL.
The proposed effective date for the State Plan Amendment (SPA) is October 1, 2024.
