Notice to Bidders

Separate sealed bids for the rehabilitation of an existing dam, Marais des Cygnes Drainage District No. 1 Site B-2, will be received until 10:00 a.m. September 4, 2024, by Marais des Cygnes Drainage District No. 1, at the Franklin County Conservation District Office, 343 W. 23rd St., Suite 2, Ottawa KS 66067, and then at said time and place publicly opened and read aloud.

Parties interested in bidding must contact Agricultural Engineering Associates for bidder prequalification prior to obtaining contract documents and/or bidding. The contract documents may be examined at the following locations during business hours: Agricultural Engineering Associates, 1000 Promontory Dr., Uniontown, Kansas and the Franklin County Conservation District Office, 343 W. 23rd St., Suite 2, Ottawa Kansas.

Paper copies of the contract documents may be obtained at the office of Agricultural Engineering Associates, 1000 Promontory Dr., Box 4, Uniontown, KS 66779, upon payment of $25 per set, nonrefundable. Electronic copies of the bid documents may be requested at frank@agengineering.com at no charge. The phone number for the office is 620-756-1000. A pre-bid conference will be held to review any questions on the anticipated construction. Interested contractors are invited to meet at the site landowner’s residence at 1246 Osborne Rd., Pomona KS 66076, located ¼ mile west of the intersection of Georgia Road and Osborne Road, which is 2½ miles east and 1 mile north of Pomona Kansas. From there the group will proceed to the dam site for viewing. The meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. August 28, 2024. Attendance at the conference is not mandatory for bidding on this project.
