Notice of Hearing

Pursuant to K.S.A. 75-37,143(d), the State Building Advisory Commission will conduct a public hearing at 9:00 a.m. June 12, 2024, in Suite 1200, 12th Floor, Eisenhower State Office Building, 700 SW Harrison St., Topeka, Kansas. Check in at the front desk with security is required.

The purpose of the hearing is for the public to have an opportunity to comment on a request from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to utilize Construction Management At-Risk (CMAR) alternate project delivery method for the Pittsburg Regional Crime Center in Pittsburg, Kansas.

The goal of this project is to develop, construct, and equip a regional crime center and forensic science laboratory in Pittsburg, Kansas on the campus of Pittsburg State University for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to assist Kansas Law Enforcement with investigative and laboratory operations, law enforcement training, and criminal justice education.

Construction costs are estimated at $33,000,000.
