Notice to Bidders

Project

Rehabilitation of Detention Dam Site No. 21-15

Location and Scope of Work

The rehabilitation project is located directly east of the Sac and Fox Truck Stop. Rehabilitation consists of replacement of 142 feet of 12” PS Pipe, new drainage diaphragm, etc. Landowners are the Sac and Fox Nation of Missouri in Kansas and Nebraska.

Location and Scope of Work

The new construction project is located on the south side of the road ¼-mile west of W Road and 64th Road near Wetmore, Kansas. The new construction consists of 121 feet of 10” PS Pipe, approximately 20,000 cubic yards of earthfill, etc. The landowner is Roger Shoemaker.

These projects are tied together to bid. Separate bid forms will be supplied by Nemaha-Brown Watershed Joint District No. 7 for each project. If you bid, you must bid both.

Bid Submission

Sealed bids, in a single copy, for the work described herein will be received by Bruce Rinkes, Contracting Officer of the district, until 5:00 p.m. (Central Time) May 30, 2024, at 25544 Q-4 Rd. Holton, KS 66436. Sealed bids can be delivered to the bid opening at Glacial Hills Resource Office, 334 2nd St., Wetmore, Kansas by 7:30 p.m., May 30, 2024. Any bid received after the specified time will not be considered.

Bid security in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price must be submitted with each bid. Security may be in the form of a bid bond, cashier’s or certified check, postal money order, or cash. If a check or money order is used, it must be made payable to the Nemaha-Brown Watershed Joint District No.7. Bid security, other than bid bonds submitted by unsuccessful bidders will be returned as soon as practicable.

The successful bidder will be required to execute a district contract and furnish to the Nemaha-Brown Watershed Joint District No. 7 a performance bond and a payment bond in penal sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) each of the original amount of the contract.

The work shall commence within twenty (20) calendar days and be completed within 120 working days after the date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

A penalty of $500 per workday over the 120 working days will be charged to the contractor for each workday required to complete this contract.

Notice: The bid schedule, general provisions, special provisions, instructions to contractors, specifications, and drawings listed under contracts will be incorporated in and become a part of the resultant contract.
