Executive Directive No. 24-582
Authorizing Personnel Transactions

By virtue of the authority vested in the Governor as the head of the Executive Branch of the State of Kansas, the following transactions are hereby authorized:

The request of Kraig Knowlton, Director of Personnel Services, to provide a 5.0 percent pay differential to employees in job classifications in the Kansas Highway Patrol who obtain a private pilot license and perform pilot duties for the agency, a 7.5 percent pay differential to employees in job classifications in the Kansas Highway Patrol who possess a commercial pilot certificate and are designated as a pilot in command and perform pilot duties for the agency, and a 10.0 percent pay differential to employees in job classifications in the Kansas Highway Patrol who obtain certification as a flight instructor or are designated as an executive aircraft pilot in command and perform pilot duties for the agency are hereby approved, effective April 28, 2024.

I have conferred with the Secretary of Administration, the Director of the Budget, the Director of Personnel Services, and members of my staff, and I have determined that the requested action is appropriate.
