Notice of Right to Request a Hearing Regarding the Proposed Revocation of Administrative Regulations
Pursuant to K.S.A. 77-440, the Kansas Human Rights Commission (KHRC) submitted a report to the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and Regulations (JCARR) summarizing the review of its administrative rules and regulations and identifying regulations that are not necessary for the implementation and administration of state law [see https://klrd.org/committees/joint-committee-on-administrative-rules-and-regulations/hb-2087-reports-jcarr/]. Pursuant to K.S.A. 426(d), the KHRC proposes to revoke 45 of the regulations identified in that report by filing a notice of revocation with the Secretary of State. Pursuant to K.S.A. 77-426(d)(2)(A), the KHRC will schedule a public hearing on the proposed revocations only upon the written request of a member of the public. Such written request for a hearing shall be submitted on or before March 1, 2024. This Notice of Right to Request a Hearing serves as at least 21 days’ notice of the right to make that written request.
