The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Division of Health Care Finance (KDHE-DHCF) is amending the Kansas Medicaid State Plan. Pursuant to the Kansas legislative appropriations, and effective July 1, 2023, the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Facility (BIRF) rate will increase from $700 per day to $1,400 per day.

The proposed effective date for the State Plan Amendment (SPA) is July 1, 2023.
