HB 2459, AN ACT concerning water; relating to the Kansas water appropriation act; providing a definition for safe yield; prohibiting the change of the point of diversion of a water right if such change causes the safe yield of the source of water supply to be exceeded; amending K.S.A. 82a-701 and K.S.A. 2022 Supp. 82a-708b and repealing the existing sections, by Committee on Appropriations.

SB 308, AN ACT concerning public employees; relating to hiring and promotion preferences for state employment; providing for a preference for persons with a disability; expanding the veterans preference to include remarried spouses of a deceased veteran who died while, and as a result of, serving in the armed forces and to include surviving spouses, whether remarried or not remarried of a prisoner of war; amending K.S.A. 73-201 and repealing the existing section, by Committee on Ways and Means.
