Notice to Bidders

Project Description

This project consists of building a new transportation building and site improvements for Starkey, Inc. on their main campus at 4500 W. Maple, Wichita, Kansas. The project will be built under a general construction contract that consists of the total project with the exception of work under other contracts as outlined in the specifications. Additional regulations of contract for the scope of this project will include the regulations listed in the “Federal Transit Administration – Best Practices Procurement Manual” as listed in the specifications and included in the project manual attachments.

Bidding

Sealed bids for this project will be received by Starkey, Inc. until 10:00 a.m. November 18, 2022, at the main office, 144 S. Young, Wichita, Kansas. The owner, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), and the architect will open and review bids in a closed conference. Bidders will be notified as to the selection of a contractor at a date not to exceed 30 days. General contract proposals will be received for the total project as shown on plans and specifications. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any or all formalities, and to retain all bids for a period not to exceed 30 days.

Plan Check Out

Electronic copies of plans will be made available to contractors starting October 18, 2022. Request for plans and specifications can be made by contacting the architect Folger & Associates, Inc at don@folgerandassociates.com, phone 316-706-904.
