Public Notice

Per Senate Bill 159, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks has received approval to purchase a tract of land in Kingman County, Kansas. The parcel consists of 493.791 acres located in Section 5 & 8 Township 28 South, Range 9W in Kingman County, Kansas. The appraised value is $1,168,300. The total purchase price is $1,168,300. The tract will be managed as part of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Park’s Byron Walker Wildlife Area. The purchase will be funded by a federal aid grant appropriated through the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.
