Public Notice
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Division of Health Care Finance (KDHE-DHCF) is amending the Kansas Medicaid State Plan. In response to the American Rescue Plan (ARP), the state is adding the following mandatory benefits to the Alternative Benefit Plan (ABP):
- Mandatory benefit for coverage of COVID-19 vaccines and administration without cost sharing;
- Mandatory benefit for coverage of COVID-19 testing, including at-home tests, without cost-sharing for most Medicaid beneficiaries;
- Mandatory benefit for coverage of COVID-19 related treatments, including specialized equipment and therapies (including preventive therapies) without cost-sharing.
The state assures that as outlined in 42 CFR ยง440.345, EPSDT services will continue to be available to all eligible ABP beneficiaries.
The effective date for the state plan amendment (SPA) is March 11, 2021.
