Schwab Reminds Kansans of Election Night Website

Tuesday, November 3, 2026

TOPEKA – Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab reminds Kansans that the election night reporting webpage will go live today at 5 p.m. on the Secretary of State’s website, providing access to unofficial election results.

The Secretary of State’s website is the primary source for Kansans to view statewide unofficial election results as counties report results following tabulation. Once polls close at 7 p.m. local time, initial results will begin appearing on the election night webpage. These initial results typically reflect advance voting, with Election Day ballots reported throughout the remainder of the evening. Provisional ballots, however, will not be counted until each county board of canvassers meets, which must occur no later than November 16.

Additionally, due to a court injunction, Kansas has a three-day grace period for advance mail ballots. Ballots postmarked by November 3 and received by county election offices by November 6 will be eligible to be counted. As a result, unofficial vote totals on the election night reporting webpage may increase between November 4-6. Additional ballots reflected in the totals during this period may include:

  1. Any ballots that were hand-counted.
  2. Mail ballots received on or before Election Day but not yet processed.
  3. Mail ballots postmarked by Election Day that are still being processed.
  4. Any other legally cast ballots not included in Tuesday's unofficial count.

Official results will be available on the Secretary of State’s website after the State Board of Canvassers certifies the election. Certification must take place by December 1.

For local election results, please visit your county election office's website.
