Secretary Schwab Reminds Kansans of Voter Registration Deadline

Tuesday, October 1, 2024

TOPEKA – Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab is reminding Kansans that October 15 is the deadline to register to vote in the November 5 General Election.

Kansans who need to register or update their voter information due to a name or address change can do so by visiting VoteKansas.gov or by contacting their county election office.

“Given that it is a presidential election, I expect voter turnout to be high,” Schwab said. “With such strong interest in the election, it is important for Kansans to have a voting plan, whether that means voting in advance or casting a ballot on Election Day.”

Schwab encourages voters to review their sample ballot, locate their polling place, and decide whether to vote in advance or in person on Election Day. Advance voting begins October 16, and the last day to request a mail ballot is October 29. In-person advance voting ends at noon on November 4.
