State Election Board to Meet

TOPEKA – Pursuant to KSA 22-2203(a) a meeting of the State Election Board is called by the Secretary of State at 9:00 am, on the 28th Day of May 2024, at the first floor conference room of Memorial Hall, 120 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66612-1594.

The purpose of the meeting is to adopt amendments to regulations KAR 6-1-1 and 6-1-2 pertaining to the determination of apportionment of election expenses among the subdivisions of government.

These proposed amendments have been approved by Department of Administration for format and by the Attorney General for legality; have been reviewed by the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules and Regulations with no concerns noted; and a public hearing was held on May 7, with no input on the proposed amendments. There was no estimated cost burden on counties or local government from these amendments.
