SCHWAB APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SECRETARIES OF STATE

TOPEKA – Today, Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab was appointed President of the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS). He is the fifth Kansan to serve in this role.
“I am honored my colleagues selected me to lead the oldest non-partisan organization of public officials in the United States,” said Secretary Schwab. “I look forward to working with my colleagues as each state prepares for an important election year in 2024.” NASS serves as a resource for states to share ideas and collaborate on election and voting issues, business services, and other issues for which Secretary of State’s have responsibility.
During Schwab’s tenure with NASS, he has served on committees for Elections, Cybersecurity, and Business Services. Schwab also has served on the NASS executive board in several capacities, most recently as President-elect. His term as President expires July 2024.
